Right now, before we get there

1. Shut the water off at the main — in most Daybreak homes, the shutoff is in the garage utility wall (often near the water heater) or in a basement utility closet. Newer Vista and Highland builds sometimes put it inside the laundry. Turn clockwise until stopped. If your Flo or Phyn already auto-shut the main, leave it shut
2. Open the lowest faucet in the house — drains remaining water out of the pipe and away from the leak
3. Move belongings off the wet floor — electronics, documents, rugs, anything that can be saved
4. Turn off electricity to wet areas — if water's near outlets, switches, or the breaker panel, flip that breaker

Why pipes burst in South Jordan specifically

Daybreak garage and bonus-room walls. The single biggest pattern we see in South Jordan is frozen-pipe blowouts in the exterior wall of an attached garage, especially behind the laundry-room/garage shared wall, or in the bonus room above the garage.
